I'm trying to figure out the best spot to mount a couple pods, primarily to light up the periphery of my forward field of vision. I bought Rigid's D-SS Pro pods, but I assume they all mount similarly. I'm thinking I'd like them spread out as far as possible butI'm about out of space on my A pillars. Has anyone used the existing bolt pictured below? If so, how did you go about it?

I’m getting ready to order these rough country cubes, they have a bracket to mount them up with.

Sweet. That bracket seems very well thought out. Maybe I can fab something similar. This is what came with the Rigid's. Will you need longer bolts or are the stock's suitable?

If you are talking about the allen head bolt just below the windshield.
Some members have successfully mounted light there. You will need a longer bolt. I can't recall if it is M5 or M6. You will also need a spacer of some sort between your bracket and the countersunk hole in the plastic. Might be able to get away with using a standard 3/8nut or a few 5/15 or 3/8 flat washers to take up the gap.

I would be worried about being on the outside of the ROP, they would get torn off by trees.
I’m sure I could put them in the vise and bring them in a little.

That was precisely my original plan. Thanks, glad to hear others have had success!

Mount them there and ride the trails I ride and you will understand. Kinda like mounting a light bar on the roof, HA!
Quit trying to shove a full size vehicle through a 2’ wide walking path Smitty. 😉

After spring/summer growth the trails are wide at the bottom and narrow head high. And that's pretty low! HA!

I have Rough Country LED Pods mounted as shown. I also have wide angle pods mounted on the inside of the rear cage.
The brackets I bought from Amazon are listed as out of stock now.
I have ran them through some VERY tight trails with no problems. My mirrors will go before the pods. B90c606d16a3afc004ae0afff7367d40F3a34b70e972b549b24cee927ec21249D4b06dffd8471851d9cb1e2807fe5dc4F7cbefc1fa3ef48ef163fa0ad9a134b1

Found them on eBay! Thanks so much. Do you recall if the current bolts are long enough, it came with longer bolts, or you had to purchase longer bolts?

You need longer bolts. It came with longer bolts and lock nuts. It was a little spendy. I think around $50+. But it worked really slick!

Make sure you read the reviews on the ones on eBay as some are saying that they do not fit our machines or require modification.

I bought brackets from Magnum Outdoors. Spendy but work perfectly. See pic in post #3 of this thread..
