Wondering if someone with a KFI snow plow could tell me how much longer a trailer would need to be if you towed with the plow mounter Vs. no plow mounted?

Depends on your trailer, does the blade fit between sides, or over the top of sides, you could probably get by with a 10ft, 12ft would bebetter. I have a 10ft, and back it on, blade hangs over about 16- 18in. I can drive it on and raise the blade over the front, but blade could hit truck if I turn to short. Hope that helps.

Would you could also do is take the plow off , and put it on the trailer, slide the bars under the utv. It's just 2 pins, and the winch rope to hook/unhook. The plow weighs I would guess about 100lbs.

Thanks, that is the info I needed. I have a 12' trailer that is super wide, so I am going to plan on backing it on like you said

I do have one more question, so the blade will rise high enough so when I back on the trailer it won't hang up?

My trailer is about 17" high, ramps about 6' long, I can back it on ok. That should give you some idea of what you need. My ramps are made out of 2x10's, they bend pretty good, and is about maxed out with weight. If you go any longer I would go with metal ramps, or something stronger.

Thanks for the info, if I need to, I can back trailer up to a rise and use my 4' ramps to reduce dragging the blade

Thanks again

I drive my P1000-3 with plow on, right onto my 16' X 6' trailer.
The only problem that I have is getting the plow perfectly centered.
