The kymco fell through but got a Canam 70. Getting delivered on the 23rd same as the one in the picture just different color.

Fun trip to the dealer. One of my twins wanted the Polaris. I like the thought but we are done with Polaris at my house.

I know the Chinese ones are cheap but the engines are clones of brand names. If you stay on top of oil changes could you make one last a few years with quality oil?

The wiring is terrible, the seals are terrible and the carbs are typically junk if you use ethanol fuel... But yes. Just expect to work on them a bit every time you want to ride. Tough to beat for the price but tougher to trust to be reliable. I love our Kazuma Redcat because it's the right size but it always has something wrong.

I had a Honda xr50 and an Eton 50 ATV when my kids where little.
Guess which one I never worked on, and which one I always worked on.

The Eton had a knock off Yamaha scooter motor / CVT.
The seals leaked, the belt had a kink in it (you could feel it lunge every time it came around) it had continual electrical problems and the plastic was cracked or broken.
Bolts where constantly lose on the exhaust or the muffler guard.
And the carb gave me fits.
Early on I replaced the battery with a Yusa.

I kept trying to tell my self I saved money with the Eton.
But I'm not sure I believe that any more now than I did then.

To answer the original question go with your gut observing how the kids act will give you a feel for their skill. This year I went to buy my nephew he's 12 a 4 wheeler to test him I let him ride my sportsman in low. I told him go slow learn how it feels and act's, right out of the gate he left the driveway wide open and never rode one. When he got back I took the key and he cost himself a Christmas gift instead of listening to me taking it easy he felt he needed to do 30mph winding out low gear. I can't put him on one knowing anything I say will be ignored and he will do as he wants then hurt himself.

i still plan to get a chineese 110 for my son to learn on. Hes 3 and has gotten use to the electric motor stopping him on his Razor atv. The Chinese 110 has a foot break which will be easier for him to use. I plan on replacing the carb with a serviceable one and changing the front sprocket from a 13tooth to a 12 or 11. but im also trying to buy that used. the Canam will be his one day when he gets a little bigger

Ive got a Kawasaki 50 atv. And i can cruise on it no problem. 7 yr old is ready for more. Thats where the Suzuki lt250 4x4 came in. Now i havent taken the boys trail riding, just around the yard. But the 250 i leave in low 2nd gear. And hes not quite strong enough to shift it yet. Id go 90s if i was you.

Here in my stupid state kids can't legally ride gas powered quads until they are 10, even on private land, unless for farming operations. To ride on public land they have to be 12.

I bet they can play competitive hockey, football and soccer younger than 12. Move South before it's too late, HA!

Got it for $550. Most places seem to be about 650. I was able to talk the guy down some. I found them online for about 550 shopped too.

Even if the ATV says for kids 6 and older? Most 50cc and this 70cc say it’s for kids 6 and older.

Correct, doesn't matter, they can't legally ride them.
