I have
New tires. Hope they are stronger then the factory Bighorns. Every trip to RRB I somehow pinch one.
Roctane XS 28x20x14. All around on factory wheels.

Looking for 150 miles combined. Sat and Sunday. View attachment 55514

28's the XD. Heavy , but do great in rocks. I'm sure you picked a good tire. Good luck with them. Got a set of the original BigHorns not the 2.0 on the Honda and like them as well.

That’s a lot of miles in that type of terrain. Having fun? Anything cool happen worth talking about? What trails y’all ride?

I’m loaded up and leave in the morning. I guess I’m bringing the rain with me. Get ready for some sloppy and awesome trails!!
We rode on 1, 2,13,14 and some more I can't remember. Stopped along the river at the base of 26 and talked to a few riders. Opted against that one lol. Wife had hip surgery last year and is really sore this morning. Ours trails down home are nowhere near as rocky as these

Headed up there this weekend for our first trip. Been trying to make it up there a couple of times. This time it looks like it might just happen lol. What are some good trails. Wife doesn't like the real steep and rocky and rutted ones. Thanks.
Here is my full write up on Royal Blue with GPS maps, paper maps, area info, etc.

Ride Report - Royal Blue / Pioneer, TN

Pretty much you will only ride in the TWRA Sundquist Unit off of Ride Royal Blue resort. Good luck with the rain, I am 7 miles from you and it's pouring here, shows to all day.

Here is a good list of trails to run and see the sights, recommend getting the paper trail map at the check in building / store.

Trailhead is Trail 27 out of park, there you will come to the Trial 19 / Trail 13 intersection. go right or left depending on what you want to see.

Listing in order if you turn right off Trail 27, Navigate to these trails, all well marked easy to follow on map.

Trail 8 has a big waterfall, have to walk down and back up out from it may be tough in muddy conditions.

Trail 2 is Ollis creek Trail has a Waterfall midpoint, follows a nice rocky creek, a good ride,

Trail 31 has a huge boulder rock garden you can drive around and through / access by Trail 21 I believe.

Trail 25 Elk viewing Tower best after 4 PM large mountain top pasture where elk herd congregates of an evening to graze

Trail 37 small waterfall

Trail 30 Top of the world trail - 3100' elevation overlook in all directions, easy trail.

Cautionary Trail 26 at end of trail 2 is very steep and bad in muddy conditions, you can bypass it just keep going straight along church parking lot as you come out of woods, small gravel road goes up on your left bypassing the 1200' 40 degree climb of trail 26.

All other trails are relatively easy.

How do you like the Roctanes so far?
Well its the longest he ( @Hondasxs) has ridden with me without getting a flat. LOL
I have been running them for 8 years only ever ripped one sidewall and that was on a rock doing 30 mph when I should have been goin 10 mph (And still drove it 20 miles home no problem) You would think after running 900 miles of these rocky trails with me and see me never carry a spare or get a flat while I watch you change out 4 or 5 tires you think people would catch on why I preach about the STI Roctanes for toughness. Sure they don't ride the best, but you don't have to baby or worry about them.

Yep read your review and followed some of it. Sure helped. We went to the small waterfall and did make it to the Elk viewing area, really neat.

Don't look like we are going to make the ride Sunday. The wife's hip really bothering her. Looking now to book for the Takeover 2018.

Sorry to hear that, if you can make it back up this way before then give me about a weeks heads up and would be glad to guide you through some nice trails, even many not mapped West of I-75 if you are up for an all day adventure. I'm semi-retired (moved to TN 18 months ago) so I work for me but my schedule can take me away for a week at a time. I live about 45 minutes by trail from Ride Royal Blue Campground and just ride there to meet up with members to ride occasionally. I have been coming here for 10 years (used to live in IL), but the last 12 months I have discovered much more than the paper map shows.
