Rip Saw Tire pressure?

Does anyone run Ripsaws? If so what tire pressure are you running? I have ripsaws on my P5 and i'm undecided on the air pressure to run in them.

5-10 psi depending on riding conditions also how do you like them? im Stuck between those and bighorns lol

Well so far so good, I've only put about 30 miles on them so far.

what size are you running and any noticeable low end lose from the weight ??

i'm only running 26's and no so far i haven't noticed any difference in low end. I do like the rip saws, just not sure about the wear on them yet. I don't do much mudding on my P5. I got it primary for hunting purposes. So when the snow starts flying this year hopefully the rip saws will do some digging. lol.

I am running 25" Rip Saws and I run them at 7-9 psi for my normal Rocky Mountain trails. I noticed that even at 7 psi they ride rougher than my stock rig. (Im guessing its due to the extra sidewall strength) the tires hook up great on the rocks and have massive amounts of tread.

The only drawbacks are that I notice a decent power loss above 7500' elevation and it digs crazy hard in the snow and I ended up high centered when my stock machine seemed to continue on a little easier. I wasn't driving the stock machine so maybe my Dad just has more finesse??

7500 pretty decent elevation so that not a surprised at power loss i run rocky rutty twisty mountian trails and i think im tops 1500 ft but im def stuck between only ripsaws and bighorns

Jak9922, Im comparing the power loss between stock and 25" 'saws. Its enough difference between the 2 machines to cause me to have to downshift in one and not the other. Also forgot to mention a MPG loss of about 1/10th with similar driving on the same terrain. All in all, its worth it to me for the added sidewall strength though I think I am going to try Big Horns on my stock machine for comparison.

Shake once you try them please post your thoughts this is a huge on going debate it would be awesome to see a personal side by side owner Compairison
Also your elevation even tho stock to ripsaw Compairison is good your 7500 ft is enough to choke your ride enough to where it might not happen in lower elevations but i want to hear ride Compairisons

I have the 26 ripsaws. I run 6lbs in my tires.

At my home elevation (5500) vs stock tires, there is a slight power difference, though its not as noticeable.

In Central Texas, lots of sharp rocks and ledges. 8-10 psi. Over 1400 miles and not one tire problem.

I have a buddy that has them on his Honda Foreman 500 and I can verify that they glaze over in the snow. Seem to be a great tire otherwise but snow, especially wet snow, will clog them right up.

I witnessed them dig into sugar sand and get stuck. They look awesome but are a heavy deep lug tire that don't have much flotation characteristics, made for digging in. I wanted a set until I saw that. Guess it depends on what you ride the most.

Mostly rocks ,
Lava rock and gravel trails out here with occasional mud and streams , these tires will pull this machine anywhere I have been so far
