Rugged Radio Issues

So during the Heartland Challenge our radio acted up again.

Driver and Passenger intercoms were perfect, but they could only hear me coming from the speaker in the unit not their headsets, I could hear them perfectly.

We got it to work briefly, but it quit again. We're not using Rugged handhelds, but they've worked in the past.

sounds like the interface cable between radio and the intercom, no expert for sure. Is the speaker in the radio itself? how many cables connect the radio to the com box?
