Mine fills with water as well, I drilled out some holes to let it drain. As of the stench, I’m actually taking mine to an automotive upholstery shop to get a quote on replacing the “cushion” and maybe the outside material as well. First to get some added comfort, mine gets a little rough after a few hours on the trails in west Virgina, secondly in hopes I get better material that won’t allow it to fill with water!

you can get a new seat bottom for less than $200. They changed the seat in 2018. Maybe changed it on the 17s but idk. Its thicker and I don't think they hold water as bad but I could be wrong.

The seat on my 18 was full of water when I picked it up brand new. Drilled holes and water drained but it still has water in it

Take the seat out and turn it up of the side end,90 degrees, let it drain for a couple days above 32 degrees, should get rid of most of the water

I added drain holes, let it dry out in the sun, resealed the corners where the glue was letting go with marine goop, and added a Honda OEM seat cover. This solved the problem for me.

When I bought my 2017 1000-3eps I purchased the camo front seat cover. Not to look cool, just be dog proof. The way my hounds react when I tell them to "get in" will destroy most any seat cover. Never had any water issues, and its been out in some nasty rain and snow storms over the years. I guess living in Nevada has its perks....a dry butt.

Yes I will drill some holes to get water out. Thought I would throw it on this site for feedback. It is good to know that I am not the only one experiencing this. Still slightly disappointed with the product as people talk about how Honda's are top of the line for lasting-durable. This story changes my perception a bit. I have had many ATVs, as I am close to 60 years old and none have taken in water and not been able to disperse it naturally.
To me if the factory drain vents are not letting water out this is a design fault.

Maybe the seat should have come with factory hooks to hang it on the clothes line to dry.
:(
Same here mine is also full of water and I'm 65 years old. I no longer look for or drive in deep water. I'm not saying I didn't in my younger piss and vinegar days but this is rain water and I have no idea how it gets in:rolleyes:

My 1998 450ES had 15K Miles when I sold it. Still ran like a top but I had changed bearings and brakes cause of mud riding.
My 2005 500 Rubicon also has 5K Miles und I kept it cause dealer didn't give enough.
My 2016 Pioneer 1000-5 had about 5K miles when my son charged through water and had it ingest water and hydro locked it and bent a rod.
My 2020 Pioneer 1000-5 has 2.5 K miles and ONLY I drive it.
I had tunes on my rides starting in 1998

We don’t have much mud here, just pure Rocky Mountain Spring Water. The water in my video was crystal clear. 😍
