Hey guys I wanted to share my rescue kit. I have a private hunting lease but also hunt the Florida everglades just for fun. This is what I have on SXS all of the time. FYI: The 911 network does not work well in the everglades. Most of the time you need to walk out and swim across a gator infested canal or wait a few days for recuse.

1. X-BULL Recovery Traction Tracks
2. M12 FUEL 3/8 in. Extended Reach Ratchet with 2 batteries
3. Full SAE & Metric socket sets & wrenches
4. 6000# SATV winch pull front & rear
5. Extra spark plugs, ball joints
6. 5000# jack
7. Tent ,Spare water & food, Thermacell, bug spray, bug tamer, LED lights, compass
8. Water shoes and smart wool socks. (Walk out (old school style)) Rubber boots will injure you within 4 hours
9. GPS with Sat text (Priceless new technology)
10. First aid kit
11. Radio
12. Cell phone
13. XDM 40
14. Tons of ammo

Very nice!! Very well equipped!!!

When I was growing up in Central Fla in the 60's I used a Stevens 16 ga single shot and shovel on my 1958 CJ-5. Moved most places with ease but did eventually earned enough money mowing lawns to buy a "come along". No big snakes then so bare foot and cut off jeans was the dress. I did get chased up on the hood of the jeep by a hog in the Glades...killed it with high brass Peters #6 shot if I recall. That's the favorite back then. Killed deer with a bow and gators with an old WW 1 bayonet. We got a $1 per foot for good skins...big money when gas was a quarter and surplus lightly used jeep tires were pretty much free.

Left Fl in 68' to go play in SEA...never went back...too many retired Yankees...roads were crowded and blue haired women were nasty.

Be safe and congrats on being prepared. I carry a Noco Boost Plus GB40 as a battery backup, with in/out USB plugs for charging itself and other devices plus a 3 level LED light with emergency strobe setting. Plenty of battery life for multiple jumps.

rudyeng I like your kit...here in AZ I have similar but also snow in winter so add
  • fire starting kit and water proof blankets....been stuck in a snow storm nearly froze my a** off......had a fire kit so was able to warm up.
  • I also now carry portable rollup rear and side windows. Running back to camp in the cold wet with rain or snow blowing in sucks!!
  • In AZ Slime and an hi capacity air compressor are important for thorns and cactus in your tires.
  • Spare fuses...had a couple blow sucks if you don't have any
  • duct tape
  • heavy duty zip ties
  • tie wire
  • SOG shovel
  • Spare tire
Hey Mudder I carry a similar Boost....I love it....have used it several times to help other guys but not mine so far.

One item I always have of the farm or when camping is tie wire. Duct tape works on some fixes but if it's hot, like an exhaust, tie wire is a must. I take the tie wire camping because the wife has learned how to escape the duct. Done that too many times.
