For the video guys - Radical Hill, Colorado, up and back down. (upper half)
Commentary for those who'd like some details -
So after a few weeks of gathering my wits after my first ride up Radical Hill and the 10 mile detour to avoid going back down it, my JFDI outlook found its way back and I headed up Monday.
POIs -
at the start - hold tight left to keep the lean angle from dragging the roll bar against that bank. The inclinometer takes a while to sync so you don't get to see how steep that loose rocky uphill leading up to it is.
44 seconds - the rock ledge I cleared on the first attempt, last year. It took several bumps to get over it this time.
3:40 - I get wedged in a tight spot
7:50 - a challenging rocky ledge section
10:50 - the scariest section of the video, the tilt angle was freaky
12:45 to 15:30 - it's a steep climb to the top - To the moon, Alice
17:30 - a steep descent on a narrow ledge just for my friend Bob who's terrified of heights.
23:00 - I stopped to photo the Talon hitting 8,000 miles and all 3 photos are blurry.
27:25 - going down a rocky section that gave me trouble going up
30:40 - I drag down the ledge that gave me trouble going up
