The first pic with the water reflection is badass. It reminds me of puzzles I would put together as a kid.

I thought they got tons of snow in that watershed this winter. I figures those lakes would full again this year but maybe I'm way off. Some favorites -

This is what used to be a boat ramp at Lake Powell, on the left, now you can't even see the lake from this overlook. We used to camp just downstream and come here to fuel up, you could boat right up to the fuel docks. That's the Colorado River.

They've come up ~12 feet but are ~150 feet low (pulled numbers out of my butt, but you get the idea).I thought they got tons of snow in that watershed this winter. I figures those lakes would full again this year but maybe I'm way off.
Is that some type of dam?
Yes. Looks to have been silted up for years (it's in the wash) but there is a pipe in the bottom running water today (hard to see from the pic).Is that some type of dam?

From the Lucky Strike Mine Overlook, looking to the left. The Reds Canyon road is down there and a favorite ride.

Me at the LS Mine. The above photos were taken from the top of that ridge, a bit off to the right.

Eagle Canyon Arch. Because of its location in relation to the trail, I drove/rode by this several times before seeing it. I had to 'pin' it in the Topo and there it was.

Looking at it, it's hard to believe that you can drive right past it and miss it. 🤔Sweet ass arch.
I have to wonder how many people this new road would serve. On another note, I’ve talked with the Jeep club guys in our area and Cowboy Miller road is open and connects with Rug Road. Additionally, the road washout that stopped my group from getting through to Oracle on the Charouleau Gap trail is now passable. It’s still a bad drop off and climb and appears to have reduced a lot of traffic, but our group was able to get through last Friday without incident.View attachment 389355
@PJon they've paved Florence Kelvin all the way to Tecolote ranch road. A few months back I came out here and they had pushed the area at the entrance to TRR into a big lot and had 2 huge piles of gravel. Lots of gravel still left.
Are they really going to pave it all the way through? I'd have mixed feelings on that.
On the one hand, if I were coming over to your neck of the woods...say copper Canyon or something, it would knock quite a bit of time off the travel. On the other hand, I feel like the gravel portion of the road has kept this area relatively unpopulated by people. Don't want to see the whole thing turning to a housing development...
