At around 3:00 or so I was just about ready to call a day. It was cold and raining and damp, and I wasn't particularly warm.
I wanted to go down to the bottom of this specific wash I was in, and from that point, my intent was to head back to the truck. I discovered a cool rock rock structure, and in the process of climbing up the gentle grade the engine got nice and warm and started putting off some heat and I became fairly comfortable again, so it was game on...

So away I went, and hit one of my old favorites, the "rail trail". A few miles in the sun came out and I actually folded my ghetto soft top back across the cab. I've never run a full windshield, and while the experience was nice in that I was able to warm up on a cool day, I just don't like being isolated from nature. So off it came. And predictably, a few miles later it started to rain again...

Six of us went to 96 ranch last Monday. Very disappointed to see the old ranch is now posted No Trespassing. Fortunately, one the ranch hands was working on tearing down the old barns and some of the other out buildings. He gave us a tour of the cold cellar and we got to see in the house. Unfortunately, do to general frustration, forgot to take pictures. Our route had to change coming in from the S.E. because another ranch we were planning to pass through was also posted with the gate chained and locked. It’s really a shame that there is so much vandaliam.

Oh wow! Had been thinking of going back over there. Very sad!

Really?!??! Where?
Two of us did Charouleau Gap west to east on 2/11. There is a lot of fire damage and it was disappointing to see the Cañada del Oro still running black from all the soot from the fires. Last time we did it east to west and the water was crystal clear. Other good areas are Tar Wash (west of Mammoth) and Copper Creek east of Mammoth. Lots of old mines to visit.

You really need to get some Erickson wheel tie downs. That looks effective, but it’s a real rats nest.View attachment 261857
I'm a traveler and need more flexibility, F/R and have learned how to handle the extra length that I might need for surprises. If I could locate in one position every time those would be great. E-track (?) is awesome too but they're width specific, another variable since I changed wheels.

I know about the width changing. Just installed 801 shocks front and rear. Now the machine is higher but narrower.

If you like e-track, I believe Erickson also has chock blocks that you could utilize to locate the machine in the same spot every time to get your tongue weight right.. If you’re not changing wheels on your machine regularly the tie down and unloading for the SxS would be a lot faster

New P1k5 owner and site Member. Riding with a buddy and his new P700 last weekend in southern Mn and came across a beautiful historic Czech church. Oldest birthday found was in the 1800s.

I was kinda doing a bit if history hunting yesterday with the stage stop. For those interested in the history...

Also, this entire area almost ended up being at the bottom of a man-made lake...

Wow, Arizona is beautiful guys!
Cooler day in Mn yesterday. Strong southern wind blowing ice in off the lakes. It starts to break off and stack up like glass on the shore on some lakes.
