I got a puncture in the sidewall on my last camping trip.
I patched it and it was good for the rest of the trip. 3 weeks later I have a slow leak.

Is this a hopeless cause - or is there some plug / patch / liquid that will let me use this tire - safley ? Maybe just as a spare.

I have Blackwater Evos and ITP Beadlocks. Had to drive my truck over the tire multiple times to get the bead off.

might see if you can find a place locally that will vulcanize your tire. Basically the add more rubber to patch the hole. See pic below - they have to cut a area out or rather grind it down but it makes it stronger that original

This was a weird one in the sidewall of my wife's rig I repaired yesterday. Maybe I've been lucky but yet to have a hole that tire plugs couldn't fix. Used over a dozen a couple times though

Yep, thank you for recommending the place - I went the day after you posted on here.... good group of guys ... they even tried to give me a bunch of okra when I went to pick the tires up... said $30 for the tires but you have to take some Okra.

.

For sidewall punctures, you can also put a tube in it.
