P500 SMELL GAS

After I ride for about 30 min. or so in the woods,I keep smelling gas.Can't find a leak anywhere.

Definitely could be that ive noticed that sometimes it wants to cross thread going on

If thats not it and you dont see any leaks then its flooding out did u notice any powerloss check the air filter they get filthy fast i clean every ride

I haven't noticed it on my little trips. Other than gas cap not tightened properly, maybe fuel tank filled too full coming from vent tube under passenger seat? The vent tube is clipped to the frame just out of sight on this pic in the lower right corner, if you see the black zip tie in the bottom corner of the pic it goes around the clip holding the vent tube.

Jackal thats a good point too definitely if its an extremely hot day looks the the evap is right behind the riders

I saw the post and was like that's funny. On my 700 sunday i smelled gas idk why or what was going on. Didn't happen again.

Thanks guys the lid was tight but it was full of gas too.

My 700-4 I have intermittently would smell gas when walking by it while parked. Don't recall smelling it while riding, but after stopped and turned off for a minute or so.

Was it full FULL or just full. If u know what I mean?
If it was overfilled it is possable some could have leaked out the vent. Which is right under the passanger seat.

I havent filled mine completely . I just add 5 gals. Whenever it gets down to 1 dot on the guage.

I would think vent also. If you look at picture, the white plastic 90 should be a check valve.
I haven't smelled gas, 1,000 miles, but you never know. If I did I would route the vent line higher and go from there.

It was not filled to the rim. Is the checkvalve you speak of in the top of tank,Thanks. Also this was not while riding,just afterwords.

Yes, that elbow elbow on tank is the check valve

I am having a gas fume smell when i come to a stop after riding. This is a 2017 p500.
