Are happy with the S&B? That's the one I've been thinking of putting on!
And thanks for the offer. I may take you up on it if I don't get the S&B.
I Love mine, 750 miles and the filter is spotless. Filter should last 10 times longer and the S&B should pay for itself in 2500 miles. Just not having to dig into the air filter every 250 miles made it worth the cost.

I do not have the Honda one, it is too expensive by the time you buy all the other required wiring (an extra $300 if I remember correctly) and the mounting locations have it right next to your ear and it is noisy as hell on a 4 seater let alone a 2. I did a custom install on the roof, hard piped it, exhausted it out the left fender and wired it so it doesn't come on until the engine is started. I can barely hear it at idle. It is so quiet, the wifey didn't even notice it and she notices every little noise...

Nice job PaulF, looks real good.
I added a guard around mine to protect it and it has worked great.

I like your guard so if (and that is a big IF) I ever find myself riding in conditions that require some protection, I may copy that, VERY NICE!

Just telling ya, NW Arkansas is a great place to ride, just don't want anything above the roof line.

i’m sure it’s great.

I don’t know anything about riding on private land or “designated trails”

Nearly every place to ride in Alaska is public land with unrestricted motorized access. Not much for trails. (Just get above treeline and go anywhere)

I just can’t imagine caring what anyone else mounted to their roof. :) A44D74CA 8EF8 4EA9 8AC3 E9426BCD684C

Hey guys, does anyone have the SYATV instructions? I have all vents figured out, but wondering if they mention the Sub Trans drain. Is there a check valve that makes raising this unnecessary? If it was, I'm sure I'd be able to find something via searching, but wanted to verify with more Honda experienced people anyways.

How’s the noise with the SYA snorkel? Was going to do a DIY snorkel but having the back windshield on I wouldn’t be able to clamp it to the rear pillar to secure it. Considering the SYA one, not to go deep, but to get clean air

Check out hondabob’s 6000 mile report, there’s some good info there. He kept the stock air intake baffle and I’m going to follow his lead. I want as little intake noise as possible. I’ll put a 3” Uni filter just above the body panel, not up to the roof.

I made a DIY 2.75" snorkel with aluminum intercooler piping and silicone boots. I still don't hear any intake noise over the transmission clanking.

That's the water pump weep hose to let you know when the inner seal is leaking.
