(I seem to always jump on the forum every few months and have a lot of questions...)

My p500 has 27" aggressive marsh type tires (unsure brand/model). My ranch is in rock country - 4wd will only be used if the rocks are wet and slippery - never because I can't get through the mud. There's truly only about 5"-8" of soil.

To soften the ride, I literally have about 0# of psi. Yes, 0#. The ride is much smoother, even almost comfortable. But the aggressive style of the tires seem to be an over kill.

I was considering something less aggressive, soft, but still in the 27".

Any ideas?

This is the best zero psi tire/wheel combo I have seen on the forum.

I run Journey 350, 27 inch on rocky terrain, it has the Bighorn type tread. The lowest I’ve ran is 6 psi, don’t want to break a tire bead against a rock

If you were to sand those wooden wheels crossways to the grain in the wood, would they be more aggressive? #NTC

Hopefully you have beadlocks. I like the tusk terrabites. They have 8 ply and 10 ply versions. Weight isn’t to bad on the 8 ply , they have a light truck mud pattern. I have them on my p1000 and at 10psi they ride better than my oem tires. ( I have beadlocks) Traction is great in mud snow and rocky terrain. Have had it in deep sand yet but they few sandy washes we’ve got they seemed fine. Barely use 4wd just 2wd locked 99% of the time

Mudder, do you run bead locks for continuous heavy hauling in the rocks? I'm talking Elk hunting.

26 inch rocktanes almost rub at full turn on 5+2 wheels. Twice the tread depth of the bighorns and they ride nicer than the factory tires

We run the rocktanes with. Beadlocks. Tire shops near us want 20 a tire to mount utv and quad tires. Plus a beadlock I can patch a tire from the inside back at camp if I have to. Also it's nice in the atv trails when the tire is in the ruts leaning on the sidewall less worry of mocking a tire off the bead..

How about putting some air back in those tires and get you some good shocks that you can adjust to dampen the ride to your liking and ditch the stiff as a corps stockers and be done with all the fiddle Farting.

I just installed a set of Maxxis Big Horn 2.0 running 6 psi and they are very squishy. They seem to just wrap around rough terrain. We don’t have rocks but we do have a lot of tree roots and they do great!

I have 27" BigHorn 3.0 in size 27x11x14 all the way around with Tusk bead lock wheels. I run about 6-7psi and I can tell you they ride very nice and also conform around roots and rocks.

Since I run the pressure so low, the tread has a much flatter profile. At 10psi, the tire rounds quite a bit.
