Maybe a crazy thought but for those of us that may use the pioneer for a beach stereo has anyone used a solar panel to help keep auxiliary battery charged when not running? Thinking about mounting one on top of hard top. Pros and cons please. Tia.

So I did just this I mounted a small solar panel on the roof and it works great now I have gone months without have to plug her in. And with how it’s mounted haven’t had any problems with low hanging branches it seems to charge while in the shop under my led shop light as well. Let me know what you think

Holy thread resurrection.Using a solar panel to charge your auxiliary battery for a beach stereo could be a convenient way to keep your battery topped up, especially if you spend long hours at the beach. However, there are some factors to consider, like the size of the solar panel needed to effectively charge your battery and the weather conditions at the beach.
