P500 Spare tire question

So Ive upgraded to 27's, but have a 26" that I've mounted to use as a spare. If I ever had to use it, would the tire size difference have any adverse effect on the differential(s)? My dealer seems to think so...

It'd be a little more strain going straight, but no more than turning puts on it in every corner with the proper size. It'll be fine as a spare. May drive funny. You can probably pump it up enough to make it 27"...
