Riden in the P1000/5 on dusty trails and the dust and heat were more than I anticipated.

How is the 500 in the dust and cabin heat department? Similar or must less of an issue?

How fast can the 500 go on open road?

Less heat than the 1000-5, both are not bad without full windshield & 42 mph;)

I heard some say having rear windshield with a half front windshield seems to make the dust come inside the cab, I haven't had that problem maybe a bit.As for the heat seem OK,I can't tell.... 63 KPH downhill....
If Honda had put or decided to put the 520 in the 500 we might be able to go 73 KPH..Would be cool ..

Top speed in my 500 is 39-40. Dust issues, get a rear panel. It reduced if not stopped the dust vortex...Buy a heat shield from @trigger . I wish he’d make some for the 1000-5. Hint hint...

I have one left and that's it! If I could get a P1 in my garage for a day...;)

Never been in any sxs that doesn’t get dusty in the cab. Windshield and rear panel helps a lot. Heat is not too bad but you can feel it. When you hit any water you get a steam bath and that’s when I feel it the most. 39mph top speed on my 2017

Thanks all.
I do have a rear screen on the P1k and I have towels in the rear doors to stop that dust. Both help but you sure do still come home covered in dust after riding a few hours. Here is a pic of the rear panel.

My Tusk rear panle really helped reduce the in-cab dust. And yesterday we were enjoying the heat from the engine while riding in the Rockies at 11,000 ft. It was chilly up there!

My Talon is virtually dust free . Not kidding . I ride with a group of 10-25 others and a typical question on a ride is " how is it so clean inside?"
