Howdy hive minds, first post here. I have a 2020 1000X4 LV with 32" tires. I had to do a frame swap due to a bent frame and I don't remember the turning radius being like a 1965 school bus. The steering rack did need to be replaced and I am wondering if the shop that did the rebuild ordered a rack for an R instead of an X. I can only get about a half a rotation out of my steering wheel from dead center to the left or to the right. I sat in a 2024 today (stock wheels and tires) and can get just about a full turn in either direction. Could an R rack possibly be the issue? Any other ideas? TIA
Jesus! A bent frame and you swapped the thing instead of an insurance claim for a new rig? Thats most likely why your having issues.
Too much happing in that situation and all fubar central can happen and it sounds like your there.
Personally for what you probably paid for all that, Id take it back to that person and say…
This turns like $hit, you messed with it fix it!
So For you to go through it and find out WTF rack he/they put in, you’ll be assholes and elbows deep in it.
Whatever you do, come back and tell us the low down. We will want to know.
I don't have any decent pics at the moment because the car is currently at MTS. Had it revalved with a new spring kit. Currently getting aligned. This is pretty much all I have handy at the moment.
Car? What car? You sent a pic of a Side By Side?🤣
Got to give you “car” guys $hit. Lol
