Well they say it want work with the factory top. All they have to do is cu6 a opening for the roof clamps and problem solved. I think the are missing out on alot of sales by not doing this.

Thanks for sharing, I was wondering if it would be worth it to buy and try to modify. Seems like they would say minor modification needed instead of does not work with the Honda roof a ton of people have.

Would those of you with the SATV rear glass consider it easy to remove, say for maintenance/mods or for the day. I have a honda soft rear window that's on its last leg and was about to pull the trigger on another one partly because it is so easy to unstrap and get it out of the way.

It's not what I would get if I was going to remove it very often.
I agree. If I needed to remove it often, I'd leave it off. It does open far enough so you can load or dump the bed, but the rear edge, when open, is only about 5'4" off the ground (IIRC), so if you are taller, you are gonna either be ducking often or cursing often.

Yep...the guys are super worried about saying it fits.........BUT...you have to do some cutting. I understand though. A lot of people don't read that far into the fitment or the instructions and get pretty mad and ship it back.

BUT....I'm still with you. Wish we listed it with that *trimming needed listing.

Understood, Im sure its easier/better to just say it doesn't fit than dealing with the repercussions. Great products, hope to add some more soon.

I am new to rear windshields, I didn't have front or rear on my 700 and am seeing the error in my ways! This one doesn't open to vent at all- is that an issue in the summer? I have a flip out front windshield now but thought that since my doors are open I would get plenty of air.

I didn’t like how low the low the rear SATV ’hatch’ opened either. I moved the stationary pivot point up 1”. (I did an extra hole @2” as long as I had it in the mill just in case I wanted to try that.) Had a scrap chunk of aluminum angle laying around so I made a new bracket for the poly side that was 1\2” down and 1/2” closer to the frame pivot.
This raised the opening height to a little over 5’10” (my height). The aluminum bracket hangs down a little but the hanging strap kinda acts like a warning you’ll hit your head but at least now the overall opening is much higher. When time permits I will radius/trim and clean/paint the aluminum angle. The 2nd hole was just put in so my hung over brain(bbq the night before) didn’t have to think about the right/left orientation, it will get trimmed off. The unplanned benefit of moving the attachment point further out away from the hatch with the aluminum bracket is it made the strut over-center when closed and keeps the hatch lightly closed.

Has anyone put on the OEM Honda rear window?
With all the issues that people seem to be having with aftermarket, I might just order the OEM.
