Amazon CYBER WEEK is still on... Better pick up a winch before price goes back up!
This winch would be great for all Honda SxS's.
Be sure to pick up a Snatch Block for when your really stuck!

If you were stuck how hard would it be to turn the switch on end of winch to engage or dis-engage? On my Big Red it was very hard to reach.

My winch arrived today. I will get started
on the mechanical install, but I want to
installing the second battery before wiring
the winch.

The winch weighs a ton, well, 19 lbs
to be exact.

super winch has the terra 45 with synthetic rope for $277 shipped and no tax on there site. I think they might be coming out with a new model. I had a terra 35 on a rzr 1000 and it pulled it everywhere with out any problems I have used it a lot pulling axles pulling other rzrs on there side to change parts ect.

It's hard for me to remember on my big red but this winch is low on machine and i would think it would either in the mud or under water when trying to winch yourself out , the free spool is accessible but not the easiest to get to but not too hard to access either if that makes any sense lol

Thanks,I was afraid of that. I guess I will be waiting for EMP to make a front bumper for the 1000 so the winch can be mounted on top.

Would a 4000lb be enough? I don't go mudding and never even needed one in two years with the pioneer 700 but like the idea of it for insurance as my kids are old enough to ride and we will be hitting some trails more with the 1000. The Smittybilt Xrc4 Comp with synthetic rope is $319 free shipping. Also think it would help pulling fences?! I like the synthetic rope for the safety, Let me know what yall think. This is the one im looking at: XRC 4.0 Comp-Series Winch - Smittybilt

The 4000# would be ok it you carried a snatch block so you could double the pulling power. The Superwinch is 4500# w/synthetic rope and less money unless the sale is over I paid $252.42 delivered to my door from Amazon

After reading everyone's advice I ordered the Terra 4500 with the snatch block from Amazon for $239.62. After linking in Citicards Rewards points I reduced that alot more. Thanks everyone. I have the 700-2 all loaded up already but am slowly gathering up "extras" for my upcoming purchase of a P1000-3EPS.

Sounds like the cable model but should be OK, you can always upgrade after the cable gets some wear. My first Superwinch also so hope it performs well.
