Talon front seat 5 point harness anchors

I've been a busy bee in Fusion the last several weeks!

These are new products coming soon, per customer request for a harness crotch strap anchor.

Driver seat has been made and will be tested over the next couple of weeks. This may actually be seen at the MOM overland ride. These are laser cut and cnc bent 1/8" steel plate with black mini texture powder coat finish.

Driver side will mount to the forward seat anchors.




Passenger side is in the works at the sheet metal shop now.

These small projects are quick to design, sometimes. This was a fun project! And it's more practice for me with Fusion. The faster I get with Fusion the more ideas I can pull out of my head into cad.

The net is factory from Honda. I make a cargo box to go in this recess but haven't installed it yet on my new 23 X4LV.

That recess is deeper on the 4 seater because the electronics are under the rear driver seat.

Does it interfere with the seat bottom latch? I just have mine wrapped around the round seat bar. It does have to be a little offset from the center or it hits that latch.
Very interested, even ran 5 points in my Pioneer.

I'll found out for sure next week, but using 3d scans to locate seat objects and the new anchor it does not appear that the strap will interfere with the seat release. The anchor is more forward of the seat latch while not interfering with the seat slider lever. The photo below is looking straight down from above the seat.

Great idea for anyone running 5 pts as these brackets should give anyone doing so a little more piece of mind. Keep us with your progress and potential cost.

This passenger seat plate came out so nice and better than expected considering the goofy set setup. I like this so much I'm working on a similar design to replace the plastic seat covers for my seat riser cube set. The OEM bolts will be replaced with flanged, rounded button head screws since they will be exposed. The OEM plastic cover rivet points will get nuts and bolts.

Well, this is indeed possible to bend from one piece and I'll have a sample later this week! The sheet metal guys sent me the bending simulation from my model and it looks good. The bends took me a while to figure out but I finally got it. This is what I truly love to do! If this works out as expected it will most likely replace the two 3d printed plastic parts currently sold with the kit.

Are you wanting the 5 pt harness anchors or the seat riser cover? If you see Scrappapotomus up there,
he's got the 5pt harness test pieces on one of his Talons. I won't run production until I get his feedback.

This is a good idea!

5pt harness is much better than a 4pt harness for staying put. The lap belt riding up when the shoulder belts are tightened drives me nuts.
