This kit would provide a single wire ground point that activates as ground ONLY when in reverse. It should be used to trigger a relay that could power anything. Such as a backup alarm, back up camera, or backup light.

Yes, there have been some issues.
this is one reason we stopped making them.
There are solutions but I need more info on the problem your having.

If u use a test light, u can prob identify the wire in the pics on page 1 and splice into it.
