Been collecting price quotes here in Northern California from a dealer in Redding, CA a dealer in Reno, NV and a dealer in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Two of them charge about a $600.00 shipping fee on top of the machine price. One dealer calls it a "set up" fee and wants $900.00, on top of the price of the machine. Is this standard operating procedure for most dealers?? I have a hard time believing the dealer should charge the customer for the cost to ship the machine to the dealer, but maybe that is standard procedure.

Some charge it that way.
When I called every dealer within a 200 mile radius I stated up front that I was "fishing" and was going to buy so "IF YOU HAVE TIME" would you give me your best out the door price. One dealer said no but the rest asked me to hang on for a minute or asked if they could call me back in ten. I ended up driving 80 miles to get the best "OTD" price. I don't care what they want to add or subtract or whatever else they want to charge.... just give me the bottom line.

Lucky enough to get the first one in Idaho- $9699 plus tax and doc fees. They did cut the destination charge in half, but cannot complain heck of a sxs!

Where in ID did you buy? I haven't been able to touch on for under 13,500 with hard roof and glass windshield.

When buying any vehicle, you should do your homework online before ever stepping into a dealership. Then, only talk OTD price. That's the bottom line. Doesn't matter if one dealer charges $600 in fees and the other dealer charges $900. All those 'fees' are negotiable. Just do your homework ahead of time and add everything up to figure out how much you want to pay and don't be afraid to walk out. They will always call you back with a better deal.

I paid $8,800 last fall for a 2016 700-2 plus tax in KY. Dealership said they bought a big order at year end and was able to offer low ball prices. It was a good $2k cheaper than the local dealer I drove about 3 hours to pick it up.

Got a 2017 700-2 for $8977 otd with a roof, but with sales tax it was around $10200. Honda of Russellville (Arkansas) is by far the cheapest i could find within 3 hrs of my house. I live in NWA

I just picked up a leftover 2017 700-2 for $9700 with a free a free set of green plastic.

I was surprised how much of a difference there was in price between all of my local Honda dealers. Most expensive was $11,800.

I found a dealer that was willing to do some trading. I had something to offer he wanted so he took $9700 off the top of a 2017 P3 LE. Works for me. Turns out he's a heck of a nice guy and we've become pretty good friends.
