Do 30x10 tires clear on stock 1000X wheels? What’s the tallest you can go with 5/2 offset front?
Thanks..!

Point me in the right direction...

I’ve read every post I could find on tires and wheels. Most of them fail to mention if it’s an X or an R or what the wheel offsets are. Or even if they’re running spacers. Thanks.

You are not going to get an accurate answer to your question because there are too many variables between manufacturers (both tire and wheel) and not every combination has been tried.

Keep in mind that 30" tires range from 29 to 31 inches and 32" tires range from 30.5 to 33 inches depending on manufacturer. So when someone says I run 32's, you need to know what brand.

Wheel offsets are also not accurate. a 7" wide wheel with a 50mm offset is truly a 5.5+1.5 and not a 6+1 like many advertise. And a 45mm offset is really a 5.25+1.75 and not a 5.5+1.5 (or even sometime 6+1) like sometimes advertised. Most 4+3's are actually 0mm offsets so that really makes them a 3.5+3.5. UTV style offsets are all over the place and not very accurate so try to use the real mm type offset if you can.

So, that being said, the general rule of thumb for an X, 30's will clear and most 32's will rub slightly, even with 5+2 wheels. Offsetting the wheel out also makes the tires scrub/arch further back so you don't gain all that much fender clearance by spacing the wheels/tires out anyway.

Thanks Paul, pretty much what I thought. I just ordered some STI HD9, 6-1 and 4-3 along with some 30” Carnivores. Will report back when I get them.

That setup should work just fine on an X. You will end up about 1" wider on the front and 2" wider in the rear.

Post some pics!!!

I'm looking to do the same set up using STIHD9. Did you get 15's or 14th?
