I’m using a 14’ Big Tex tandem axle trailer with spring assist gate…

This is my '20 (pre theft) sitting on a 14' trailer with 250 lb. tongue weight. If you have the room to park it, longer is usually better.

This is my replacement '21 with 2 spares and a bed extender, same 250 lb. tongue weight.

And this is why longer is better, my traveling setup -

I agree with CID above. I have a Big-Tex 12' single axle. I chose the 12' over a 14' because the shorter trailer is easy to store in my garage when not in use which is 98% of the time.

The trade-off is the 12' deck leaves very little open space in front of and behind my P1K3. This makes it a little harder to strap it down when towing

The trailer buyer can choose between easy to store when not in use or easy to strap your machine when towing.

I think you'll need at least a 14' trailer for a Talon.

I have a 16’ tandem axel. The tandem is the way to go and they will have trailer brakes std on them and are a must them pulling a machine especially with gear imo. They do make some pretty nice single axels like above capable of pulling the weight but your limited in capacity and believe me, there will be times you will push it.
old pics but you get the idea. One has a gas log splitter on it.

Yep, the tandem is so much easier to pull and back, and not near the difficulty or danger when you have a flat….

I am using my enclosed trailer that I have had for quite a few years. I bought the Talon ( a 2021 1000X-4 ) before I realized my trailer wasnt tall enough...
I had to improvise to find a solution;

It did require spacers to be used and I only recommend using for loading and unloading in the trailer but it saved me from having to buy a new trailer...

What the smallest tire I can run????

Don’t see that too often! 🤣
The brake rotor diameter is the limiting factor - I think the wheelbarrow tires I have are about 14inches and I do not drag (maybe an inch and a half to spare(?).

It does look funny, but it works pretty good!!!

Someone did wooden wheels and posted a thread about it. I think it was a P1k-5 though.

Wow, what a major inconvenience. But if replacing the trailer isn’t an option, that’s a very enterprising solution….😎
