Looks like the Secret Service may have messed up. Reports that a witness saw the rooftop shooter and attempted to notify police and SS. Neither acted apparently. Not good. Inside job?

No kidding. I noticed they're already going on about it being an AR-15 ("which is almost identical to the M16 the military uses") and how that's a chip shot for the AR, especially if it has a scope. These F'n people.

I agree, absolutely a chip shot for any .223 and larger. I shoot prairie dogs at that range all day long with a high degree of accuracy outta both single action and ar-15 with nothing more than a simple rest or bipod. Heck most of my deer and antelope were shot at that range ++ with the ole reliable 30-06.

Looking at it after the shot, you can see the teleprompter, it appears to be intact and in the same spot. Its glass and on a stand, it would have been shattered I would think if a bullet hit it.

We watched some discussion and a guest said the shot came from the right.

Before the shot, he was facing 90°, broadside, to the shooter and the shot would come directly to his right ear.

But, he turned to the right, as the shot was coming and he faced the direction the bullet came from. His head position was more narrow and the bullet grazed his ear.

If he hadn't turned, the bullet may have hit him from the side, directly into his ear.

I don't know. That was the discussion.
