Hey guys, I don't usually post in the 500 forum but I found something 500 owners may be interested in. SuperATV now has stronger "Rhino" axles for the 500! To be clear "Rhino" has nothing to do with the Yamaha rhino, it's just superATV's name for their axles. Forgive me if someone has already posted this. Here's the link-

Its nice to have options. Just wondering- has anyone managed to break the stock axles yet?

X2 on that question, I would think it would be a odd situation to cause a failure on a P500.

I like the sharper angles they can run hmmmmm opens the door for longer shocks

Its not the point of breaking its the cv binding but if the have harder angles that means longer travel equals better shocks

I didn't realize they allowed for sharper angles , but it says so right on the features list. @jak9922 thanks for bringing that up!

Rhino Brand Axles can operate at huge angles. Generally after a lift kit or larger tires are added, OEM axles are not up to the task of handling the added pressure. This often leads to the weakening and eventual breakage of the axles. Rhino Brand Axles are engineered to have larger shafts and CVs making them able to handle these extreme angles. Not only can they handle the angle pressure, Rhino Brand Axles perform exceptionally well under the stress of high-powered motors and aggressive tires. These axles have proven themselves again and again and can withstand the test of the most intense riding.

  • Maximized CV and shaft size for ultimate strength
  • High articulation angles
  • Industry leading 4340 Chromoly for unmatched longevity
  • Precision engineered cage and housing for reduced fricton and a smooth range of motion
  • Marine grade grease to keep CVs cool each time you ride

This could COULD mean that the shocks off a 700 COULD work giving the measurements beacuse with the stock axels and 700 shocks the 500 axels are very close to cv binding ive checked and tested ( shockes off and free floating a arms)
