Well the title sort of says it all---are vent tube extensions necessary? Anybody had problems without extensions or had problems from doing the extensions? Thanks.

Ultimately. No.

But I highly recomend doing the fuel vent if nothing else. Might as well do the sub trans while your right there.

This one vent has caused so many problems even thos who "never ride water" and just ended up in a seat deep mud hole have had a issue of water intrusion.

Do the two fuel and sub trans at least. I have a kit if you want to do them all or I hook you up with just the two. To do them all takes about a hour. Nothing has to be removed. Simple install. Shoot me a email if a can help. [email protected]
I have a 2018 pioneer 1000 3 seater and would like to get a kit for the vent issue from you

Guys, it’s just basic windshield washer line and some T’s. You can get at any auto parts store. I re ran all of mine and it cost maybe $35.00. If you don’t mind the work, I say go for it.

Ran them to here on mine

Hey Y'all, I'm a new 1000-3 owner and just got my vent extension kit from Ross. I'll preface this with "I'm no mechanic". Following the included instructions for the fuel vent, it says to pull the tube out of the frame. If I'm looking at the correct hose (attached to the white plug on top of the tank?), I see it connects to a box in the center of the seat, not into the frame. Am I looking at the right hose?

The differential vents to the frame.

I’m talking about the fuel tank vent hose, not the differential.

Mine is a 2018 1000-5. It was stuck into the frame on the backside of the seat.

Ya, it's from Ross and I have his instructions. I'm just not seeing what he is describing. I've included 2 photo's (hopefully) showing the line leading away from the tank and where that hose goes into the box.

You are in California, with a California model.
That is a fuel vapor recovery. It simply puts the vapors back into the intake tract. I would leave that alone in this case.
