P1000 Ventilation Thoughts With Windshield

I'm doing some planning for my future 1000-5 LE. I want the Honda glass windshield plus mid-divider and was thinking about ventilation. I was thinking this looked interesting. Thoughts?

I guess it depends on where you ride and your terrain. I dont think that would last a day where i ride. To many low hanging tree branches.

You might look at the windshield from Alumilite and their enclosures

Another vent that could maybe face forward like a scoop.

A small metal diverter/deflector in front of the vent may add a little more protection from branches.

Unless you have a custom enclosure i dont think ventilation should be a concern. Unless you are thinking this will help with engine heat coming up through the seats. If that is the case than i think your fan on the roof might actually draw in more heat from the engine.

This fan can move a lot of air in either direction (10 speeds, 14"), even in the closed position.

After checking what is available I took some time and took a better look at the enclosures you posted and had to change my mind about the cost compared to quality. When the time comes I will have these products on the top of my list. Thanks

I recommend considering the Alumalite Armor glass windshield, it can be opened 2" or 4" for ventilation. Windshield wiper also available for it.

That's what I would buy if buying today, and will go on my next machines this fall.
