2000 miles on my '21 P1K3 and it still takes 2 hands plus wife to move shift lever out of low gear most times. Wondering if there is a easy way to correct this? Going into low takes some effort but mostly it is unreal to pull it up out of low gear.
Sounds like you have a binding shift linkage cable. Follow it from the lever and make sure its not bound up someplace.2000 miles on my '21 P1K3 and it still takes 2 hands plus wife to move shift lever out of low gear most times. Just looked at that, not binding. But, just moved lever P to L back and forth with engine OFF and moves smooth as butter. Must be something else with clutches?Sounds like you have a binding shift linkage cable. Follow it from the lever and make sure its not bound up someplace.
So it only does it when engines is running??Just looked at that, not binding. But, just moved lever P to L back and forth with engine OFF and moves smooth as butter. Must be something else with clutches?
Smooth as silk in and out, all positions. Lol! Engine off.So it only does it when engines is running??
Have you gone through all the positions (NoMo) with engine off and no problem?
Or just move a foot or two and try again.I've figured out with mine that it's easier to shift in and out of low while the machine is rolling slowly. Have you tried this?
I have not tried that. I only shift from position to position with foot firmly on the brake. That sounds a little risky to me. But thanks for the idea, I will consider that to try.I've figured out with mine that it's easier to shift in and out of low while the machine is rolling slowly. Have you tried this?

When your in gear does the engine shift as normal? No dragging or slippage?Must be something else with clutches?
Runs great otherwise. When your in gear does the engine shift as normal? No dragging or slippage?
What should the Park or Neutral RPM's be? Mine are about 1100 rpm. Is that maybe a little too high? When your in gear does the engine shift as normal? No dragging or slippage?

I do this all the time in my Talon when shifting into Low Range because some units will grind before engaging the shift dogs. They're worse when cold, before the oil warms up.By slowly I mean 1 mph max. Just need to be barely rolling
I did quite awhile ago but didn't seem to help. This has been going on for a long time. I will try it again, it can't hurt.OP - have you done a clutch relearn yet? Sounds like your clutches are dragging, hampering shifting when rurunning.
I 'think' the Pioneer's shift cables are much more complicated than my Talon's single cable. I can't link you to the adjustment procedure but 'search' might turn something up for you.I did quite awhile ago but didn't seem to help. This has been going on for a long time. Good question. I figured it would break in eventually. It runs great otherwise. Not a good answer for ya. Only have myself to blame. Not to sound like an ass, but why didnt you take care of this when it was still under warranty?
I am curious that way.
Mine was doing this. I did a clutch relearn and now it shifts very good.Good question. I figured it would break in eventually. It runs great otherwise. Not a good answer for ya. Only have myself to blame.
