Woo Hoo!! got notice today that my Elka's are shipping... trouble is, estimate arrival, SEPT 14!!! Wonder what's up with that??? I know they gotta cross the border, but ain't nobody in Brandon's administration stopping nuthin' comin' cross da border... Heck, they could bring 'em on a bicycle and get 'em to Texas by Sept. 14!!

I know when I order from the US they always give me a ridiculous ETA. Usually shows up sooner. Hope you get them faster than what they say.

I personally not a big fan of the Hillybilly Brake. With storage nets above hard to see it engaged and when I think it is using my feet when I get out and look it usually isn’t. So typically I have to use my hands to engage it! I guess having big feet are a hindrance! Lol

Agreed. It's tough to reach, you can't see it and after a couple years it barely slides.

I had a better idea for brake force and access but it didn't auto release. The auto release still sucks on the hill billy brake.

If it's over $ 2,000.00, expect a call from the border wanting excise tax paid, if they are coming directly from Canada. If they are coming from California the tax is ready included in the purchase price. Enjoy your shocks!

Back in 17 when I got my Stage 5's, every thing was shipped out of Canada from Elka, by the time I paid excise tax and AR. tax, the shocks cost me a little over $ 3,000.00. Hope you fared better than I. Which shocks did you get?

White grease collects mud and dust. Brake clean and silicone lube works so-so.
You have dust / mud in your cab? Get the Trigger Shield, prevents mud and dust! HA! I'm just being a DA! Really I haven't had issues with the brake, but I normally only use it while trailering and I use very little white grease when I lube. I really like my brake. It hasn't been out very long and I'm sure improvements will be made at some point.

I have had mine for 4000 miles on this pioneer and 1000ish on the last one. It barely strokes enough to lock on and it takes a tap to release. I should probably remove it again and clean it but the metal on metal design really hates corrosion

You know the one thing Honda has grossly over looked is a E hand brake for the P1's like the P7's?

Wholly agree. Parking on an incline, I'd rather have the weight on the brakes versus the tranny.
You can feel the bind when you shift out of park. No bueno.

Stage 2’s. Just looking to improve the ride while on the farm and hunting. No serious trail riding for me.

Stage 2s will be nice. Elka makes a great product. Their shock bushings don't seal well and the heims aren't super but when they are new they ride great

Put the multi-seal in my tires and pumped up to 18 psi all the way around... took a pretty good ride around the property (creek crossing and over a few logs/limbs and through a good bit of brush... I got to thinking that with the extra weight of that cow catcher front bumper, the basket and that full aluminum roof, the extra weight might require a bit more air in the tires... I liked the way it rode and drove so gonna leave it there for a while. I want to give it a whirl on the next trip to South Texas and see how it does in the loose rock, sand and hills, but I sure am liking the mods and new tires so far... The Elka's are in transit so hoping that will add the finishing touch...

Installed @Bayouownbeer vent kit. It’s a great kit, has all the tubing, connectors, and wire ties you need in one package. No need to remove any panels or wheels, just the seat and peel back the rubber cover.
I give his kit a 9/10 because, yeah, you could put together the pieces for less. But who wants to have to figure all that out?
