Finished wiring the Optima Yellowtop today including the trickle charger & 400A circuit breaker. I also added a 120v port for the charger & a D-ring in the back.

Went for a ride today in the snow today. 12+ inches of snow with up to 24+ inch drifts. Handled it better than I thought it would. My buddy with a pioneer 500 had a rough go of it. 35 miles on and only had to winch out of a drift up to my butt once. Other buddy with a CF Moto chickened out. It started out red. Tons of laughs today! 🤣🤣🤣

LOL! It's only clean because it's got 3 miles on it. Trying to get all of the wiring done while it's winter. I need to add provisions for my disabled son to ride in the middle before we can really take it out and get some miles on it. I'm really missing all of my equipment that went with the sale of my business. Can't wait to re-aquire that stuff when the new house/shop is finished!

I added some dynamat to the back side of the seat bottom and also added a merino wool sheep skin to the bottom seat cushion. I have ridden thousands of miles on my GW with the wool covers and they feel cooler and offer added cushion. I think this should eliminate any heat through the seat bottom that I feel. It slide under the two straps. Now if I could find my fuzzy dice.View attachment 145776
Where did you get this seat cover. Definitely want to buy one!

Added some side mirrors off Amazon. First mod other than installing the Honda roof the day we brought it home.

Chupacabra mirrors, I have the exact same set. I bottomed mine out at the lowest part of the front bar just above the bolts. I bet this way has it's advantages being near eye level. Are those stock tires?

I read some comments saying mounting up high helped avoid/minimize creating a blind spot in your trail view so I went for it. They are stock tires - Dirt Masters in 27x9x14 up front and 27x11x14 in rear.

I managed to cut some holes in the dash for the turn signal kit as well as the big opening for the primary switch panel. Mounted the horn and a 50A receptacle in the bed to power various things.

Wrestled with a license plate mount and picked up a recovery shackle. Tried mounting the plate/light on the roll bar but it interfered with the dump bed. Hopefully LEO won’t hassle me because it’s angled.

Why not screw it to the tailgate just below the Honda logo or to the plastic shield over the muffler?
Pretty sure the wiring for the light will melt anywhere on the muffler. Plan on riding with tailgate down a lot using a bed extender since I have three kids so the tailgate doesn’t work.
