Well I decided to make a snorkel. I did mine a little different. Instead of PVC I used vac hose because I had it . I figured it would be easier than cutting and glue. It also has kind of a stealth too it. You dont really notice. Everything seams water tight and it was very easy. I may put some kinda filter in the end . Shouldnt have to worry about rain as the inlet is under the inside of the roof. It seems a little snappier down low also

Went out for a little ride to make sure I was getting good flow. Looks like I can get to to top speed a little quicker. About 2 seconds. I am going to put a uni filter in when I get a chance. Seems to cruise a little easier too. Defiantly has a different sound to it

I noticed the sound too. It’s a little deeper and you can hear the motor through the intake. My wife isn’t too impressed considering it’s next to her head, but she’s getting used to it

@HondaTech are the skid plates installed during dealer prep, or do they come out of the crate installed?

I'm not a big fan of windshields in any form, which isn't a big deal living in the desert. But... Certain times of year it gets cool enough, especially after dark, that you want something to knock the wind off of you, so I've run a half shield for years. But...we're in that time frame when it gets warm enough during the day that it's too hot. Today I finally figured out a way to store my half windshield on the trail without scratching it all to pieces....

I use some of those tarp bungee things. I actually use them for mounting as well, rather than the clamps that came with the shield. Can put it on and take it off in 30 seconds.

Left the house Saturday morning at 4 with the machine behind the truck, drove 7 hours to a new MO farm up near the Iowa line.

Rode around on the farmers ranger 4 seater... that I didn't know he had available until I got there...for 4.5 hours.

Drive 7 hours back home sat night getting home at 1130 at night.

Didnt even unload my machine 😳

Long day, but productive. These are some of the 1st hit me kinda areas we need to spend some time looking at.

Well it took longer than just today. Been playing with it since December. Have to stop for awhile or my wife is going to kill me.
Built front bumper, rock sliders, skid plates under foot well, A arm guards, 2" lift, 27" tires, 2" wheel spacers, wide spool winch, built junk box, rock lights, 50" light bar, 6" spot lights, interior lights, back up lights, heater, sound bar, dual battery set up, full cab kit, sound deadening, sealed up a ton of air leaks.
Ran it around at -20 still need a jacket when it is that cold but it a pretty decent ride. Full cab definitely needs sound deadening installed after 25 mph it was defying could not even hear the sound bar maxed out. Now at 43 mph can still have a conversation. Should get better when I do the head liner. Thank you to everyone for all the great ideas

I finished up some things on my 700 list this week. I purchased a 2019 700-2 used during hunting season, with a roof, fold down windshield, and a light bar. It had low miles and mechanically sound, but needed a rear tire and a right front fender. Since the last part of our hunting season is usually very wet and muddy, I decided to upgrade the tires right away. I also changed the oil/filter, the front/rear differential fluid, and cleaned the air filter. The seller said he had just changed the oil, but I had to know for sure.. I stopped there, all the while planning my (never ending list). So, after hunting season, I brought my 700-2 home for a makeover.
Completed list:
Changed fenders and hood. I was looking for just a right fender and found a set on this site for about the same price. Installed a 4500lb winch using KFI mount. Installed back up lights, red front lights for stealth mode, and a dome light. Put in a rocker switch panel to control all accessories. I copied another members idea of using a box from Harbor Freight as an under the hood storage box. Not sure why Honda didn’t put hubcaps on the rims, but that was an easy fix from the Hondasxs store. Changed the spark plugs, and put in a new air filter. Installed front Stick Stoppers.
To do list:
Install P1000 front shocks, fender flares (for sure), check valves, beef up rear hitch, and possibly install rear bumper. The brake pads are good for now, but will probably change them before fall deer season. I will also be making a skid plate and getting a flip out windshield.

Just wondering why you think the hutch needs reinforcement? I have pulled a trailer with brush loaded on it and did not notice a problem.
The 700 is kinda notorious for the receiver hitch breaking free..not so much from towing as from "up" pressure, like those hitch mounted disc/plow things or leaving the hitch in and dropping in a rut.

I have did something a little different, I set my winch up to attach in front and rear with a hitch. It is a 3500 lb winch, do you think that would be to much for the rear hitch?
