Oil Filter Part Number for Pioneer 500 = 15412-HM5-A10
Same that one that fits the following ATV's.
Trx300 FW & EX
Rancher 350
Rancher 400
Rancher 420
Foreman 400
Trx400 ex.
And others.
You can find many aftermarket filters on ebay for cheap. But I have always stuck to Honda brand.

NAPA P/N# is PS4944

Looks like this

Heck if I would have I known you wanted pics I could have last weekend. I did my second oil change and I did not lose the washer this time. Went with full synthetic this time also.

when doing the oil change on these and any other its a good idea to replace the drain plug washer every time. Part # 94109-12000 and usually cost about $.60. That is a crush washer that is used to help prevent over tightening the drain plug. Same with the differentials. part number on it is 90471-580-000. I don't see as much as of a problem with the foremans, but on the rancher 420s it was real easy to strip the drain plug. That little $.60 washer will help with that.

No Honda dealers as close as the NAPA Auto parts store. I have used NAPA filters on all my Honda's, 2 2000 Ranchers, 2001 400EX, and on my new Pioneer 500. I had 8200 miles on one Rancher and almost 15 years pulling a 4x8 utility trailer around the place. Sold it to get the Pioneer. It ran as good as the day It left the dealer in 1999. The NAPA P/N# is PS4944. The filter only comes with the 1 large O ring I never change the small one if I don't have to. I know " My Bad" but have had no leak issues.
