HEY FOLKS!!!!

I'm new here.... but, had a 2016 P10003 since they came out. Love it for work on my property!

The stock tires are shot. ...and, I've read just about thread or post about tire sizes and what works or doesn't.

I don't need recommendations on tire brand, or tread style... I'm an avid off-roader, dirt biker, and Jeep'er. SO, I've got all that covered.

What I do need, is if anyone has SPECIFICALLY used wheels from a Can-Am XRS, that had stock 30" bighorns and if it worked out okay with minimal rubbing, or if there was truly the need for High Lifter forward a-arms or the 2-2.5" lifts I see advertised. I'll have a chance to fit them before purchase, but need to do so before my other option vanishes. The other option is to go with same wheels, but a 28" tire. Of course, I'd rather go with the 30, and be done with it... but, don't want to put some "shock" lift (strong made, or High Lifter) if I don't have to. And, it's not worth it to me to go spend $400 on a-arms for a tad taller tire. I don't use my P10003 the way some will, so that bit of ground clearance isn't that warranted for me.

SO... anyone try 30" bighorns, on "no lift" to a P10003???

BTW, the 30" and the 28" tires, are mounted on stock Can-Am UTV wheels... both, are new (under 100 miles) and $400 for the set (of wheels and tires). I know the Can-Am wheels are 4/137 and the Honda is 4/136, but as I read... they work just fine.

Not sure about the 30 fitting but had a buddy swap for can am rims and I think the tapered lugs are different.

... "you think" ? Tapered, are tapered. "Acorn" style. Not sure how lugs can differ if they're all tapered. Unless, my Honda lugs aren't tapered and are flat faced (as if, for old style mag wheels). I do know... there's really only 3 lug types used in our SxS world; Conical (acorn) Seat, Spherical (ball) Seat, and Flat Washer.

Either way, I'll purchase lug nuts if needed.

... I'll know tomorrow how they fit, going to pick them up and test fit them. So, my post is really a mute point. ;)

Naaaa.....

Our Pioneer is a utility vehicle, for use on our property. Hauling a trailer, often with a bed full of weight. With the off camber pathways, and other issues related to a 'tall' rig... we'll keep it as low as possible. No need to have to lift it, or worse case I'll put + forward A-arms (but no lift). I'm only going to a 14" wheel and taller tire for convenience, and a bit more ground clearance.

PLUS, we already have a SXS with 32s... my wife's YXZ

They fit...
Tad bit of rubbing at FULL lock, on the inside of the wheel well (see dark "rub" spot on inner wheel well liner in picture).

Size over stock, is humongous. Actually makes getting in/out of the Pioneer a "lift your butt" up onto the seat, rather than the faster open-door and slide-in approach. Nice to have the added ground clearance.

Not sure if I'll order the +1.5" highlifter a-arms, heat up the inner wheel well and make clearance, or simply run it and be careful to not turn so sharp. I know... it'll be this way until I get tired of it... then, will I do something about it. It's not that bad actually. But I also haven't articulated it into a bad spot on my off-camber pathway down off the back of the property. Time will tell...

WHAT (almost) FITS? Can-AM, XRS beadlock wheel with Maxxis Big Horn 2.0 30" tire (and using the stock Pioneer lug nuts)

It was... either buy 27 x 9/11 x 12 tires for $290/set (plus removal of old and mounting of new, and time to/from tire shop) or used set of 30s on beadlocks, for $400, and I can dismount/mount in the future. Easy math there!

I purchased a set of take offs can am x3 that had 29s on 14” Beadlock 9”ft 11” rears bighorns 2018 or 19 the tires say 8 ply rating on side walls.purchased rims and tires like new 500 dollars.Mine is a 2016 1000 deluxe 5,the offset on the rims is narrow same as Honda 6 1 ft .rear is narrower than stock pioneer. The only clearance issue I had was there is a one inch tube by 3/8” welded to the back side of the lower a frame on the ft that rubbed on the rim on full lock,I cut the tube off and ground smooth ,that cured that.installed 1” spacers in the rear.w can am rims there is no center cap that will work ,I painted the centers black,u can see the castle nuts. The ride w the 29”s is great ,stock suspension height.I have Elka stage 3 shocks on ft adjust to original preset load.Stock load levelers in rear no tire rub w 29 “ bighorns.

@ElmerFudd,
Welcome to the club. If you have any nooby questions we would be happy to answer them. Start a thread and ask away.

Gearing - Yes, it changes the final "to the ground" gearing ratio. Makes it taller allowing the SxS to go faster by a tad. This will also raise the lowest gear making it harder to turn when under a load. But the biggest advantage is the added ground clearance along with a smoother ride that larger tires provide. With the P1K having a manual and low range it will not be a issue.

Warranty - Possible, It really depends on your dealer perception of what you do with your unit. If they consider you abusing it then yes. If you just go up from a 27 to a 28 they most likely want say anything. but if you jump to a 30+ then they might. "The drive train is not build for 30" tires" they will say.
Mine came from the dealer with 30x10x14 rocthanes with Highlifter forward arched A-arms brand new

STI Roctane XD 28" x 10" x 14" all the way around. I have had very good luck with Roctane's in some seriously sharp rocks and been lucky to not have had a flat yet.
Do you have a picture of this machine and what offset wheels did you go with?

28x10x14 Tusk Terrabite (10ply) on Tusk Cascade wheels all the way around. Added new 1" 136 to 137 spacers on rear from @RB3offroad to keep things square. Got tired of having to air up BigHorn 2.0s before every ride. Unbelievable difference in reduced road noise and ride (took off sway bar at same time) over stock setup. No rubbing so far, but haven't been on nasty stuff yet. Can't believe I waited so long to get new shoes for LaShonda.

Mistake allowing your son to name your new machine 2 days after he watches Napoleon Dynamite for the first time! Started out as "LaHonduh" and has slowly been converted to "LaShonda" by the guys I ride with.
Lol. Nice.

You should write it as "LasHonda".

For those running 31" tires with offset a-arms, do they rub? Top end speed? Will they spin in mud in low range? Thinking of getting a set of N78-15 Buckshot Mudders. Anybody running them?
