P1000 What was your first ATV

I bought my first in 1998, it was a used 1995 Honda 300. 2wd, fun ATV. Sold it to my son 4 years ago and it still runs like a top.
I bought a 99 Honda 450 ES new in 99 and still have that, runs great. That's one of the reasons I prefered to buy Honda when ready for a fun UTV. For a work UTV I have had Kubota RTV 900 and a Kubota RTV 1140. I sold the RTV 900 earlier this month then a week ago I bought a 2018 P1k5. Love it.

What was tour first ATV you purchased on your own? Do you still have it?

My first ATV was a 2003 Honda foreman 450s, I sold it 4 years ago to my best friend I grew up with and he still has it today

My first quad was a 2001 Polaris Explorer 400, 2 stroke, really fast but no power and I needed a workhorse. Upgraded to a 2008 Polaris 800 cc Twin EFI EBS Sportsman, lots of grunt power and smooth ride. Phenomenal engine braking. Rolled it within a year. Broke lots of ribs on both sides but machine was fine. Requires a special skillset to operate safely in gnarly conditions. I have since learned the unique characteristics of this machine and what not to do.

Wanted something my wife could handle and could accommodate a helper with chores on the farm. Bought a 2017 Honda Pioneer 100 5 LE March 2018. My first S x S and I love it. Wife can handle it without a problem. Power steering, automatic trans, etc. Rides smooth and quiet. Wife is differentially abled and can operate it safely with her limited abilities and she feels confident behind the wheel and I don't worry that she may be injured. She always wears the seatbelt even if it is just riding from the house to the barn to feed or out to the road to get the mail. Been a big help to me. We love it. I already said that.

Still have the 800 Sportsman and use it almost as much as the Pioneer because of its smaller size and maneuverability. Thought I would sell it after I bought the Pioneer. Wife said keep it and glad I did. Two completely different machines with completely different positive attributes.

1960 Tote Goat, and those of you that think the P5 is rough riding you ain't seen of felt squat. If you are not familiar with these as most of you are too young, they did not have any suspension at all but they did have a tractor type tire on the back and a rope recoil starter, but gawd they were fun.

i started with a sand rail sometime back in the mid 80's,traded it for a baja buggy,then switched to dirt bikes,mostly for hunting,honda 250,350,yamaha 125,then a couple street bikes, v45/65 magnas, then the fun as hell vmax.then marriage and kids.now my p1k-5 so i can run the grandkids around and access the remote fishing lakes,rather than beating the hell out of my truck.edit: i forgot about my keystone mini bike and my honda ct 70.they started it all. i think i was around 4 or 5 when i got my minibike.

As far as atvs go 1986 Suzuki quad racer 250, then Suzuki quad runner 250. 4wd still have,2005 kingquad 700 best att ever.still have,2016 pioneer1000 d 5.Was waiting for Suzuki to build ax’s nevner happened.Very happy w pioneer

'97 Suzuki LTF250 2WD...still have it, and it runs like a champ!
