I have been told that the rear mount for the hitch is shaky at best. My questions is: If I am wanted to move some logs around the property, (nothing crazy, just ponderosa pine 10-15 feet in length, 18 inches in diamter) should I use my 4k KFI winch or a tow strap on the rear?

Thanks in advance for your input...

Hitch is weak if pressure pushes up.
But for towing and down pressure you can pull anything that will move

Towing 100%. winch isnt really designed for all day work.
Not that you couldnt get away with using the winch just be mind full of the duty cycle

tow it, your fine. I made 4 piles @70' long x 10'wide and about 8' high of pines that I pulled like that.

Been awhile since I’ve seen that one, great video @ohanacreek.

A comment would be if towing try to hitch it in a way the nose/the leading edge close to the machine is off the ground an inch or so to avoid it digging in while pulling...
