Where are you going to be riding the most?Any aftermarket sites everyone recommends for Tires. I'm considering GBC dirt commanders or Sedona Ripsaw's. Opinions?
Hey @Rbol121,After spending endless hours on the site, all I gotta say is WOW. Wife and I pick up our new to us 2016 1000-5 delux camo this weekend, it has 1600 miles and 150 hrs. Any words of wisdom or advise from those that have owned their's for a while now?? Its going to be real hard not to accessorize this damn thing..lol. From what it looks like, its an addiction . Anyways happy to have found the site and look forward to researching further and making some mods. Take Care.
Will mainly be riding forest roads and trails, but some shoulder riding and on paved roads if we don't trailer to where we ride. My buddy runs Ripsaw's and has had good luck with them and rides bout same terrain as I will be. Want a smooth tire on hard pack but also some tread to get thru some dicey areasWhere are you going to be riding the most?
Ripsaws are garbage in the snow and only moderate on mud but are a very tough long lasting tire everywhere else. Great on rough terrain. Possibly the best at sidewall resistance to punctures. Ours are on their 5th vehicle still goingAny aftermarket sites everyone recommends for Tires. I'm considering GBC dirt commanders or Sedona Ripsaw's. Opinions?
Thanks pusher, will not be doing much winter riding, will mainly be used up north at lake house exploring and trail riding and then in hunting season. I've heard Ripsaw's wear well so that's always a plusRipsaws are garbage in the snow and moderate on mud but are a very tough long lasting tire everywhere else. Great on rough terrain. I'd suggest a more truck style tire. Like tensor regulators, which I had and were awsome . There's cheaper ones than those. But very similar style. Just being honest about the slippery conditions. It’s been hard to justify a replacement after 4 years of bushwhacking from a set of tires with no issues.Only @CumminsPusher would start with how bad a tire is only to end with we have them on our 5th vehicle!!!!!!!!
27" are around $110 local tire shop 235 are $115 but will need new rimsI'm trying not to break the bank, after just making this purchase. Wanted to stay around $500 for the 4. Will look at Terra's and Tusk. Thanks
Those look awsome. Only problem is they are not a legal atv tire in a few states such as Wisconsin. Here they have to be considered a low pressure tire. If you get caught it's like $400 + in fines.Federal Mt 27 × 8.5 -14 or 235-75r 15" Lt 235 is 28.8 × 9.25 View attachment 68581

I bought the terrabites. Love 'em. Sounds like your kind of tire. And to add to the list of mods, if the previous owner hasn't done already, remove the Honda coin cups from the dash and install proper cup holders in their place! This site is truly the best as far as SXS clubs go. Good luck!I'm trying not to break the bank, after just making this purchase. Wanted to stay around $500 for the 4. Will look at Terra's and Tusk. Also...bring your front end into alignment before mounting your new tires! I'd bet a dollar to a dime it's way off. My out of spec machine ruined my front tires on my first day of riding...literally.I'm trying not to break the bank, after just making this purchase. Wanted to stay around $500 for the 4. Dayum! I wonder why? Maybe to keep heavier vehicles out of environmentally sensitive areas? Those look awsome. Only problem is they are not a legal atv tire in a few states such as Wisconsin. Here they have to be considered a low pressure tire. If you get caught it's like $400 + in fines.
Well that sucks !!! Is there any Jeep trails up there I was going to put those on mine and then take a tire groover to the center lugs and cut them in half to open him up some more. I didn't know they had such laws of course I've only had my new year now. And have only Rode in MissouriThose look awsome.
