Just wanted to say hello, as I've been surfing the site and doing a bunch of research. The old lady and I picked up a place down in the East cape of Baja a few months back. We quickly realized that the experience is attenuated w/o an all terrain vehicle. After we got back home from our winter break down there we went and drove all the current offerings for 5+ seater UTVs. We quickly realized that the Pioneer was the right fit after experiencing the hurky jerky Ranger trans and the somewhat lethargic top speeds of the Kawasaki and Yamaha offerings. We want to be able to take her on the streets down there, so the ability to run 45-50mph was a priority.

So we started our hunt... seems like Honda just auctioned off a bunch of leftover 17' LE's and some dealerships were offering a pretty substantial discount on them. Thought we were going to hunt one of them down, but stumbled upon an 18 LE that was decked out with a bunch of stuff that was on our shortlist along w/ a few other items. 77hrs on her, so shes just broken in! Anyhow, we closed the deal on her a few days ago, are currently getting her credentialed, swapping out those blingy stock wheels, adding an ARB awning and a couple rod holders and then shipping her south. We are headed back down in about 3 weeks, absolutely salivating to take her for a rip and go find some remote beaches and whatnot.

Cheers, and thanks for the wealth of knowledge that you guys have compiled on here!
