How much heat does this cut out. Does most of the heat come from below the seat or does it come up behind the seat? Passengers in the back seat also complain about heat.

It helps a lot. It won't help the rear passangers although. The heat will come up between tent back rest and bed instead of from behind the seat bottom. Email me of you would like one Thanks

I removed the heat shield for my last ride just to see how it is with the bilge fan only. You'll be glad to know that the steam came back a little bit after a splash in the creek. Not much heat as the blower seems to blow it away but it doesn't blow away all the steam.
