I'm in a vintage Japanese motorcycle group and people occasionally post vintage ads like this. I think they're cool and thought you may enjoy them as well. I'll post more as they come up... Honda only for this group though. ;)

Thanks for posting that. Really means alot to those of us old enough to actually remember seeing these machines in real life. I still remember my older brother picking up his 1974 CB100 off showroom floor. Funny thing is I remember the way it smelled more than anything lol. My first Street bike was a 1975 CB500T when I was stationed at camp lejeune.

My first Honda was a CL160. Then I got a Triumph Trophy 250. Got tired of having to backtrack after every ride and pick up all the parts that fell off. Went back to Honda.

I just looked it up, I remember those now. Did you see the shape that bike was in on face book? WOW!

Forgot the 76 Yamaha DOHC 750 XS, it would blow the doors off Honda's 750 Super Sport and had a drive shaft!

In '71 a buddy of mine got one of the first "Red Frames" that came into the states. It threw the most amazing rooster tails in the mud and with all of my 128 pounds, sitting on the tank, I couldn't hold that thing down even starting out in 4th gear!

Yea how things have changed, used to be all motor and no suspension, made great flat trackers though.

My old bikes are a 72 Yamaha CS5. It's a two cylinder, 200cc, 2-stroke. 81 Honda CM200T Twinstar, and a 65 Honda CA77 (305 Dream) which is in original (very rough) condition. My favorite is the Yamaha. It's a blast to ride and sounds awesome.

I'm in the market for an early 70s XS650, if I can find one for next to nothing... my favorite price.
