SE MI Metro Detroit. Hunting property is in Tuscola County in the thumb. I’m a total flatlander.

Nothin wrong with that. I grew up in A2 3 blocks from the Big House. Talk about a flat lander lol. I live between Chelsea and Lansing, have 20acres and a cabin in Joburg Between Gaylord and Lewiston (converted Cedar savage lol) I also hunt there and will be there for opening day gun (Deer season) next week. I also bow hunt in the Dexter area.

But this big fat doe gave me an 11 yd shot. Perfect shot and she still ran like 100+ yards.

Great start to our season. Seeing many good young bucks and a couple that will be studs in a year or 2.
Seeing a lot of chasing and even got to watch a sparring match yesterday

Don't have field pictures but this after picture from deer and elk hunting, more meat in another freezer. Filled both deer and elk tag, .204 some coyotes to death, great hunt.

One of our guys took this big boy this morning. 265lbs of nasty. Thought it was a Woolly Mammoth coming toward him. Still have a ton of acorns on the ground but we are seeing a lots of good bucks. I expect a couple to go down this weekend. Next week should be the peak of the rut for us in N Texas.
