I just realized there looks to be a membership you can purchase for this site and get a service manual that I can download. Of this is true do they have a service manual for a 2021 pioneer 1000-5? If so, which membership do I need to get to be able to download and look at it?

from my understanding 2016-2021 are all the same schematics with each year additions being added to the same base document. I am looking into the MY2022 and am waiting on my 2022 service manual to do ome comparisons... I hope to eventually do the same for the P1000-6 some day soon.

If you open up a few tabs on Partzilla one for. 2021, 2022, and 2023 it’s easy to see where the similarities and differences lie. .
One thing I can’t find out about is when did the rear hitch get changed? On the 22 it claims 2500 lbs However the 21 seems to have the same hitch design and is only rated for 2000 lbs.
you can also learn some detailed info just downloading the owners manual too

I didn't realize the hitch had changed from the update in 2017. I was thinking the rating had changed because of the capability of the unit.

Just the guy, gal, or zal making the decisions.
Same person who decided the wire harness didn't have enought pink and purple wires. So now we have purple negative wires.

Any truth to this? "

Updates for 2022

Honda worked on improving the Pioneer’s power output for 2022. By reworking valve timing and the throttle body, Honda got a little extra power from the Pioneer and bumped its towing capacity from 2,000 pounds to 2,500. "

Aprox 4.8 ponies were added. Doesn’t sound like a lot but it is about 7%
Combined with 4% lower middle gears.
