The engine is still quiet like new so I haven't checked the valves yet. My 2020 Talon is the same with 3,800 miles. The shop guy that does all my warranty work has checked probably well over 100 Talon and Pioneer 1000 engines and he finds that about one in every 30 he will find one valve out of spec by .001" plus the manual says check the valves if the engine is noisy. I should have another 10,000 miles on it this winter and 2,000 on my 2020 Talon. Its amazing how good its holding up. I drive it hard but don't abuse it. I use Mobil One 10w40 motorcycle oil and change it every 1,200 miles. I change the trans oil filter every other time. Any synthetic motorcycle10w30 or 10w40 oil should be good. Its going to be hard to sell for very much so I may just keep it for a spare.
My 2011 RZR 900 was set up good. I checked the valves at 5,000 miles and again at 10,000 and still ok. I had a pre filter snorkel in clean air on it. My other RZR had tight valves with hard starting and a poor idle. Its easy to pull the cams and change the shims so not a big deal to fix it. The important part is too plug the engine with rags so nothing will fall into the engine and to use a magnet on the cup so a shim doesn't drop.
