Hey guys. I’m about to buy a P5 real soon, and am trying to decide on tires so i can set it up right away. Can a guy run 27x9 tires all around on the factory rims? I wanna go taller, but not necessarily wider than i have to. Definitely trying to keep weight down. Apologize for my lack of knowledge as I’ve been outta the ATVs/utv game for awhile. All replies are greatly appreciated!!

I do not have an answer for you. I am still running stock wheels/tires on my new P5. But I'm positive somebody on here will chime in.

The stock rims are 7.5 in. on the rear and 6 in.wide on the front so the 9inches wide will work and alot of people on this site are running 27 inch tires with no problems
I was looking to put larger tires on mine and wanted 27 inch but went with 25s because the door to my shop was too low

Thanks for the info. I may go with 25’s for the same reason. You got a pic with the 25’s?

Hello. I have purchased P5 few months back and am trying to decide on tires so i can get better ground clearance. Considering 27x9-12 front and 27x11-12 rear STI Black Diamonds XTR Radial Tires.. Any negative experience with rubbing or would 26" run better? Also do you advice to keep factory rims or buy new 12" wheels? All replies are greatly appreciated!

27s with 5+2 offset rims, No problems. 9” wide front, 11 rear, if doing it again would do 9 on all four.

Also take into consideration tire manufacturer as not all OD's are the same or true to size.
I'm running Blackwater Evo's 26x9-12 on all four corners on 5+2 offset rims with no problems, and like the fact I can rotate tires.
I chose this combination because of vertical clearance in my enclosed trailer. In reality, I probably could go 27's as Blackwaters run slightly undersize, also air pressure will affect tire diameter.

This is exactly what I'm considering at the moment, 26x9-12 tires on all four corners. 1) DaddyDubbs, will you please put up a few pics from different angles? 2) Also, does the 5+2 offset push the tires 2" to the outside, provided a 2" offset per tire?

OEM still mounted with Evo's in front

Another comparison of OEM to EVO's
Evo 02
Here are a few different angles of the Evo's mounted

Regarding overall width increase with a 5+2 rim, you are only going to see about a 1" greater width overall as the stock rims are 4.5+1.5 - Here is a great article from our founder @Hondasxs - Pioneer 500 - Factory Wheels and Tires! and post 7 gives the specs I just referenced.
So far I feel the 5+2 offset has given adequate stability and I think I can still squeeze through the 48" trail posts, although I haven't tried yet.
