28x10s are pretty narrow on stock rear wheel. You will likely notice they are hard on the tire side walls and you'll see more damage to the wheels. You also increase your chances of having the tire come off the bead. I didn't like running mine on stock wheels and quickly switched to 4 matching 14x7 wheels. If you wanted to run stock wheels 28x10s are a good fit on the narrower stock front wheels
Decided to just stick with stock size for now. Various factors, but what Todd said above was part of it. After looking at the 11’s on the rear wheel there’s already not a lot of bulge. I tend to agree that narrower might allow more wheel damage or want to unseat more easily.
This was the cheaper and easier option for us, not needing to worry about spacers etc. So for now this is how we’ll ride. Maybe some day I’ll jump into some other wheels. I’d love to know if the 29” Terrabites would fit an all stock buggy but wasn’t willing to test it and then need other unplanned mods to make them fit without rubbing.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
Now to figure out what pressure to run. 🤦♂️
Been reading through some posts especially the one with the poll, but seems like mostly personal preference. Had been running the Honda recommended 20# but it definitely runs them with a crown and wears the centers (at least on stock tires). Need to do some testing to find the best compromise for our riding style.
Ended up ordering from
Pureoffroad.com This is the second time I’ve used them and been treated well both times. Arrived in 2 days plus a free shirt.
Of course their sticker is gonna add +10hp and then our orange buggy will be almost as fast as a red one!
