P1000 2nd battery ground

I am adding a second battery mainly to run the winch from, my question is where is everyone connecting the second battery ground.
My feeling is it should have its own 6awg wire to ground , but not sure where the factory grounds are

There’s a factory ground taped up and and zip tied above the factory battery.

I connected that to the winch relay, i guess i can connect the second battery to that also, thanks

I don’t anyone who does but it’s a dang good idea. Might have to order one of those.

I have not decided in battery brands yet, will be the next addition to the machine though

Just starting to wire everything to the factory battery until i order the isolator and second battery,
One thing i do have coming is a 250amp breaker for the winch power, it saved me on my last machine when the switch decided to stick on 'IN' , it actually bent in the bracket on the fairlead before the breaker tripped
