Hey guys, just wondering if I could get away with the 30x8 interforces a up front without rubbing. Will that inch less in diameter give enough room? Also how are you guys doing with 30"+ tall tires. How is the machine reacting?

From what I can tell watching the experiences of several others on the forum (see Jackal's build, and Joeymt33's build, and others), a tire that truly measures 30" diameter will rub. Jackal tried running 30x10 with a 2" strongmade lift, and it didn't work. There may be a snowballs chance that an 8" width 30" diam will work, but I haven't heard of anyone trying it yet. At the very least, you'd probably need the 2" strongmade lift.

@joeymt33 just got his 30x10s mounted up recently after he installed the CATVOS forward arched A-Arms. The arms give a 3" lift and move the front tires forward 2". I don't think he's had a chance to thoroughly test it, but preliminary reports are positive. No rubbing and tolerable power loss on low end. He'll probably chime in here soon with more detail.
When I get my P1000 3 seater I'm going to try running a Highlifter 2.5 lift and 30x10 Interforces all the way around. I'm sure how well these tires measure to what they claim.
I have 28x10 moto mtcs now and I love them however after this past weekend ride, 30" tall tires are the standard where I am and it's not a matter of keeping up with the jones' and having a monster rig but now a days it seems like you need a taller tire but not necessarily an extreme aggressive tire to cross places that the big boys have trenched out.

From what I can gather, tire pressure can make a significant difference in tire height. It's looking like you need to run at least 18-20psi to get nominal height out of the tire (i.e. to make a tire labeled 30" actually measure 30"). A tire labeled as 30", but only inflated 10-12psi may only measure 29" (or less).

I agree 100%. More clearance is typically good. Although the flip side is that taller tires also raise the center of gravity.

I almost got those interforce tires. If anyone gets them, please give us a height measurement and weight measurement. They should be light at 6ply

The website shows a 41lb weight for the 30x10x14, and 33lbs for the 30x8x14. For height, I'm almost convinced that its a function of pressure.
