We grew up on Hondas. That's all we knew!!!
1985 ATC125M (I put at least a million miles on this bike as a kid!! Three engine overhauls!!)
1987~ TRX350 Forman 4X4
2001 TRX250 Recon
My closest neighbor had (when I had nothing):
1984 ATC200X (learned how to ride manual clutch on this bike)
1985 Yamaha 225DX
Since I graduated from college I've owned:
1985~ ATC185S (cheap bike that ran)
1996 TRX300EX (first new bike and with working brakes!)
2003 Yamaha Raptor 80 (for daughters to start riding)
2005 Buell XB9SX
2004 YZF250F (only dirtbike ever)
2009 Buell XB12ST
2010 RZR 800
2008 RZR 800
1998 TRX300 4x4 (bought for my daughter but ended up just resale)
2016 ACE 900 SP(new for my daughters on clearance at Abernathy)
(then another ACE 900 SP so they wouldn't have to share)
2016 RZR S1000 (new, caught fire)
2019 Honda Talon X (new)
I was too young at the time to ever ride or own the legendary TRX250R. I had family members that worked at local Honda, and raced, so my cousins and I just grew up knowing Honda. Lot of memories on these machines!!!
I'd wear out the pages of Dirtwheels magazine every month!!
Met my wife riding her 300EX, while on my 300EX. Been hitched ever since. I always wanted to go ride trails in new places and one day Dirtwheels had an article on Wolfpen Gap in Mena, AR. Showed it to my father-in-law and decided we'd go check it out in 1998. That was the beginning of our travels to riding destinations. Wish we could go more but work gets in the way!!
